Filing for Social Security Benefits

1. How do I file for Social Security benefits?

You should contact the Hong Kong Federal Benefits Unit and provide the following:

a. Your full name
b. Your Social Security number
c. Your date of birth
d. Your telephone number(s) that we use to reach you during business hours
e. Your email address

We will contact you to arrange an appointment.

Social Security number is your Personally Identifiable Information, you should not include it in your email. Please call us to provide your Social Security number.
