Lists of Medical Providers in Hong Kong and Macau

In case of an emergency and/or for ambulance services in Hong Kong and/or Macau, please dial 999.

The Department of State, Bureau of Consular Affairs, Web site, http://travel.state.gov, includes Medical Information for Americans Traveling Abroad and lists of medical providers maintained by some U.S. embassies and consulates overseas. Please refer to that Web site for additional information.

The institutions, individuals, hospitals and/or doctors listed on the linked documents below have informed the U.S. Consulate General that they are qualified to practice in the specified categories and that they are sufficiently competent in the English language to provide services to English-speaking clients. Please note that the U.S. Consulate General cannot provide medical advice, make recommendations, or assume responsibility for the professional ability, appropriateness or integrity of any of these medical providers. Arrangements for medical services, including payment, must be made directly between the patient or the patient's representative and the medical provider. The U.S. Consulate General has neither the authority nor the facilities to act as a medical grievance committee. If you encounter unsatisfactory services by parties listed on the linked documents, however, you may send us the details in writing and the complaint will be noted in our files.

The Hong Kong Medical Council, telephone 2961-8648, maintains a more comprehensive listing of medical doctors at http://www.mchk.org.hk and dentists at http://www.dchk.org.hk. The Hong Kong Yellow Pages also contain listings for both doctors (under Physicians and Surgeons) and hospitals.
