Biography: Barack Obama

47 minutes, produced in 2008 by the Biography Channel, educational and public performance rights only.

BIOGRAPHY: BARACK OBAMA tells the story of Barack Obama from his childhood in Honolulu and Indonesia through the dramatic 2007-2008 U.S. primaries. We follow Obama through his teenage struggle for self- identity, his student days at Columbia University, his community organizing work in Chicago and onto Harvard Law School, and finally, through his political career in the state of Illinois, where he rose to acclaim through a focus on ethics and political reform. His national breakthrough came at the 2004 Democratic National Convention where he described himself as "the skinny kid with a funny name" and made a historic keynote address. In 2004 he was elected by Illinois to the U.S. Senate. We go behind the scenes of his 2007-2008 presidential primary campaign and experience his victorious journey in becoming the 2008 presidential candidate for the Democratic party. BIOGRAPHY: BARACK OBAMA chronicles the uniquely American story of one man rising up to fight for what he believes in.

Rights: We have public performance and educational rights for both of these videos. These videos can be shown in almost every venue, but no entry fee can be charged. We do not have broadcast rights for either video.
