HAPPY HOLIDAYS IN PITTSBURGH

produced in 2002 by WQED and broadcast on PBS annually.

Happy Holidays in Pittsburgh - a special one hour program that looks at the social, religious and ethnic activities that make the end of the year and the start of the new one special times in Pennsylvania.

When winter arrives people around Pittsburgh have ways of coping with the gloom. Like people everywhere, they celebrate special holidays: Christmas, Hanukah, Kwanzaa, Ramadan and Eid, among other things.

It's a season of parties, decorating with lights - lots of lights, shopping, celebrating, going to worship services, renewing friendships and jumping in the frozen river.
