In America - The Chinese Story

Elaine L. Chao immigrated to the United States at age eight went on to hold such positions as director of the Peace Corps, president and CEO of the United Way of America, and Secretary of Labor - which marks the first U.S. cabinet appointment for an Asian-American woman. Dr. C.S. Kiang, a professor at Georgia Institute of Technology has worked with the Chinese government to aid in improving air quality in China. Dr. Madeline Hsu, professor of Chinese History at San Francisco State University, is the historian for the Chinese-American Historical Society in San Francisco. Lani Wong immigrated to the United States in the early 70's, has run several political campaigns to elect Chinese-Americans to public office.
