Expedited NIV Appointments

Applicants who need to travel to the United States urgently for business should make a normal nonimmigrant visa appointment for the next available time slot via our website (click here). APEC Business Travel Card (ABTC) holders should also schedule a normal nonimmigrant visa interview appointment online. The U.S. Consulate General generally has next-day availability for nonimmigrant visa interviews. The only same-day interviews we can accommodate are those required because of an emergency hospitalization or death of a relative in the United States. For more information, click here. Those applicants with urgent business travel plans should make an appointment for the next available day.

If an appointment for the next available working day is not available, those applicants with urgent business travel needs may fax a request for an expedited appointment to the Consulate, explaining the circumstances and why an expedited appointment is necessary. Faxes should be sent to the Visa Information Unit at 852-2147-3586. Requesting an expedited appointment via fax does not guarantee that such a request will be granted. The appointment time is scheduled for when we expect you to appear in the line to submit your application. Expect the entire process to take approximately two hours to complete. All applicants are required to complete the online application form available on our website.
