At a time when responding to climate change is one of the nation's most complex endeavors, the National Academies' expert, consensus reports provide helpful analysis and direction to policymakers and stakeholders. The reports are produced by committees of the nation's top scientists, engineers, and other experts who are convened to address the scientific and technical underpinnings of key issues in climate change.

Announcing the 2008 Edition of "Understanding and Responding to Climate Change." This booklet presents recommendations from the National Academies' many expert reports on climate change in an easy-to-read format. Now in its third edition, the booklet includes an expanded section on impacts and updated figures and graphics.
