U.S. Consulate General Announces Change in Payment Procedure for Non-immigrant Visas

News Release
May 26, 1998
Tuesday

The U.S. Consulate General announces that, effective June 1, 1998, there will be a change in the way applicants for non-immigrant visas to the United States must pay their visa application processing fee.

Beginning June 1, all applicants for U.S. non-immigrant visas must pay the HK$360 application processing fee at any branch of The Ka Wah Bank Ltd. They should pay the fee and receive a receipt before submitting their applications at the Consulate General.

The Ka Wah Bank Ltd. will accept fee payments during normal business hours at any of its branch locations in Hong Kong, Kowloon and the New Territories. For the convenience of applicants, The Ka Wah Bank Ltd. will provide one OF-156 application form free of charge with each fee payment. Applicants requiring additional OF-156 application forms, or who need OF-156S student visa application forms, should mail a self-addressed stamped envelope to:

OF-156 (or OF-156S)
Visa Section, Information Unit
American Consulate General
26 Garden Road
Central

The Consulate General will honor receipts for the visa application processing fee of HK$360 obtained prior to June 1, 1998, for up to one year from the date of issuance.
