U.S. CONSULATE GENERAL FLIES FLAG AT HALF MAST TO REMEMBER SICHUAN EARTHQUAKE VICTIMS

News Release May 12, 2009 Tuesday May 12, 2008, at 2:28 p.m. local time, a strong earthquake hit Sichuan province in China's heartland, killing thousands and destroying the homes and livelihoods of hundreds of thousands. On the occasion of the earthquake's one-year anniversary, the U.S. Consulate General for Hong Kong and Macau lowered the U.S. flag to half mast on Tuesday, May 12, at 2:28 p.m. in remembrance of those who suffered from this horrendous natural disaster.
