Fifth Round of Six-Party Talks: Morning Transit - Traders Hotel

Christopher R. Hill, Assistant Secretary for East Asian and Pacific Affairs

Beijing, China
November 11, 2005

A/S HILL: I'm sorry. I'm late for a meeting with the South Korean delegation, so I don't have anything to report now. We have a plenary in about an hour and a half. I'll talk to you later this afternoon.

QUESTION: Do you think there will be a chairman's statement at the end of the day?

A/S HILL: There will be a chairman's statement. The Chinese are working on it right now.

QUESTION: Has there been a draft? Have you been presented with the draft?

A/S HILL: I personally haven't seen it, but I think various delegations have seen it. I've really got to run. I've got the South Korean delegation waiting, and it's very rude to be late, so I'll see you.
