IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES

Mr. SWEENEY introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on International Relations

A BILL

To prohibit the export to Hong Kong of certain high-speed computers.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. PROHIBITION ON EXPORTS TO HONG KONG OF CERTAIN HIGH-SPEED COMPUTERS.

The proposed export to Hong Kong of a Cray SV1 computer, pending on May 12, 1999, shall be denied, and any proposed export to Hong Kong of any computer of similar or greater speed shall also be denied.
