Singapore and Hong Kong have long had a solid record and remain models on how to fight corruption effectively at all levels of society. Several countries in the Baltic States and in Europe continue to make Significant strides on good governance and the rule of law that have Contributed positively to their economic development and growth. Botswana and Morocco have also experienced the benefits derived when states take action to achieve sustained integrity and good governance. In all of these instances, an open media, a mobilized civil society, and government commitment to democratic reform were mutually reinforcing catalysts.
